The Design of Everyday Things

Donald A. Norman

A cracking listen which has me spotting bad design decisions in my everyday life. One such example is a motion sensor controlling the lighting in the gents toilet at work. Normal right?? Absolutely great idea, saving energy is a good thing. The placement of the sensor hasn't been thought through though as it's in the main room, outside of the cubicles. Any movement over 2 mins long has to be finished in complete darkness. #Sh*tDesignThinking
